The specialties of Family Practice (08), Internal Medicare (11), and Nurse Practitioners (50) submit a lot of claims to Medicare. Unfortunately, a high percentage of those claims are rejected as unprocessable. An unprocessable claim rejection delays payment for what could be otherwise covered services. Additionally, these rejections represent unnecessary work and costs for the provider and for Medicare. This education will discuss the most common unprocessable rejections and provide instructions to correct your claim submissions to receive timely, appropriate payment.
