The teleconference training is intended for our J5/J8 Part A/B providers billing on a UB-04/CMS-1500 or electronic equivalent billing for professional services.

Evaluation and management (E/M) office or other outpatient coding is changing for services provided 2021 and after. Physicians and non-physician practitioners (NPPs) will have two ways to choose the level of service:
• Time spent on the patient on that calendar date
• American Medical Association (AMA) Medical Decision-Making (MDM) table

Medicare will make payment for two additional services:
• A new extended level service when using time to choose the level of service
• A new code to show added work based on the complexity of the patient’s needs
